Ashfield Springs is a UK spring manufacturer and spring supplier based in Nottinghamshire, one mile from Junction 28 of the M1. We manufacture custom springs to customer specification and hold over 250,000 stock springs for same-day despatch, making us a practical choice whether you need a bespoke spring manufactured to your drawing or a standard size delivered the same day. We hold over 1,000,000 springs in stock for customer orders and are able to offer Kanban, Call-off or Scheduled order agreements.
We manufacture from wire diameters of 0.1mm to 8.00mm in carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel, across all major spring types. Short Lead Times on Custom Springs - No Outsourcing
When you need custom springs, lead time is as important as price. We do not rely on outsourcing, which means we control our own schedule. We manufacture all springs in-house from wire diameters of 0.1mm to 8.00mm on our own CNC coiling equipment with reduced set-up times. For custom springs, our standard manufacturing lead time is 10 to 15 working days. For urgent prototype and small-batch requirements, we can often respond considerably faster with premium delivery services offered when capacity allows.
We also provide a proven solution for annual procurement and scheduled delivery requirements. Ashfield Springs was founded in 1983 by Terry Smith and Gordon Chatterton-Greenwood after they had already gained many years of experience in the spring industry. From a local start-up unit in Nottinghamshire, the company has grown steadily into a purpose-built manufacturing facility specifically designed to allow the optimum number of orders to flow seamlessly through every production stage.
We are a financially independent, family-owned business. That independence means we are not subject to the group-level decisions, shifting priorities or ownership changes that affect many of our larger competitors. It also means the people you speak to when you place an order are the people responsible for making and delivering it.
Our facility is located in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire, one mile from Junction 28 of the M1 — a central UK location that gives us efficient access to customers and logistics routes across the country and for export. We even have our own van available for local deliveries.
